iSpring RCS5T 500GPD Commercial Tankless Reverse Osmosis RO Water Filter System with 1:1 Drain Ratio

Welcome to the pure-water world of the iSpring RCS5T 500GPD Commercial Tankless Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System with a 1:1 Drain Ratio.

This is not a system for the faint-hearted.

You will like this reverse osmosis system if you’re looking for something sturdy, reliable, and that just works.

This is the kind of system that fits the light commercial realm of small restaurants or office kitchen spaces…

Or, your kitchen.

Just because you can.

And, because you like things that work when you need them to.

Busy Mum or Dad with your kids needing water every day for school, sports, lunches, camping, trips away?

Providing up to an industry-leading 500 gallons per day is what this RO system boasts. That’s enough purified water to take care of your household needs for sure.

Take a quick look through the features and value in this system, it’ll be worth your time.

Features You’ll Value

Patented dual-flow RO membrane

The reverse osmosis (RO) membrane in the iSpring RCS5T draws water in from both sides and is backed by a high-powered booster pump.

All of this works together to provide more purified water faster and when you need it.

This feature is patented to iSpring’s system, so you won’t see it around on any other reverse osmosis systems by other brands. If you want to take advantage of the benefits that this creates, then this setup is worth your consideration.

Can be used with water pressure sources as low as 25 psi

The high-power, high-efficiency Booster Pump is the super-charger in this deal. The heart of reverse osmosis beats in time with the amount of water that can be forced through the RO membrane.

The RO membrane has pores as small as 0.0001 microns which, as you can imagine, is pretty small! But this is how it removes all those tiny little nasties that like to be carried along in your water supply!

The thing is, with pores that small in the filter, it obviously is going to slow down the rate at which the water can pass through it.

Enter: The Booster Pump.

Problem solved!

Even if your water supply can only push out as little as 25 PSI, the booster pump can pick that up to around 80 PSI and have that water purified through the RO membrane and coming out the chrome drinking water faucet in no time at all.

Easy installation

This filtration system is ready to go, already assembled in a kit-like form.

All the filters are set up on a frame interconnected with their respective tubing. All you need to do is connect the two ends: The in and the out.

As long as you’ve got an available water supply you’ve got what you need for this system to function.

With the size around 14” W x 11” D x 17.5” H it will fit most under-sink spaces. Not bad for a complete 5-filter water purification setup.

Most reviews are saying that the installation process isn’t terrible and can be completed within a couple of hours and with some of the best customer service help just a phone call away, so there’s no real reason that you can’t tackle this one yourself.

5-Stage filtering process

When you don’t want to miss a thing.

You’ve got the sediment filter for the rust, dirt, and sand. Then you’re onto the 2nd filter which can effectively absorb chlorine, smells, discoloration, and disinfection by-products.

The third filter is your Carbon Block filter that removes any residual chlorine, tastes, and odors. This one helps to extend the RO membrane’s life as well.

Filter four is the heart and soul reverse osmosis membrane. Some people like listening to heavy metal, but when it’s in your water supply, it’s not so good. So, this one gets rid of it and plenty of other harmful substances.

Number five is alive and polishing your water through the post-carbon filter. This is for any chlorine, tastes, and odors left after all that! These polishing filters do help to give your water that smooth taste and definitely a good part of the overall system.

Tankless for high demand water flow

Larger 3/8” tubes and the booster pump allow for the water to be processed super-fast compared to standard RO systems.

Residential. Office. Restaurant. Ideal for all of these locations.

With the ability to provide up to 500 GPD (gallons per day) in optimal conditions, this is the system for those high-demand situations.

Although, it works much better in those situations if you add the optional tank. Worth doing if you really need consistently high flow from your purified water supply like in a restaurant or similar.

The tankless RO system is made possible by the electric booster pump as it assists with pushing more water through the RO membrane along with the dual flow entry into the RO membrane.

All in all, this system is borderline overkill in a residential situation unless of course, you’re one of those people like me that like things that just work when you want/need them to. It certainly adds a level of reliability to purified water that you won’t find elsewhere and makes it worth considering the modest investment.

You’ll see what I’m talking about when you read through some of these reviews…

What Consumers Say

Pros

  • 18 Months later and we are still going strong. This system has been truly set it and forget it.
  • I expect many years of trouble-free service. Also, iSpring has fantastic customer service. E-mailed them some questions, and they got right back with great answers to make things easier.
  • The water taste is exceptional, and I am upset that have not purchased the system years ago.
  • It’s been almost a year now and the system has worked very well for us.
  • Having 4 kids, we had to go through almost 2 cases of bottled water every week. Faucet is looking good in our kitchen, water tastes great, and we never run out of drinking water again.
  • Ok, this thing is amazing. The filters are great value for money too.
  • I just installed the iSpring RCS5T. It was easy to install under my sink since all you need is a water supply, wastewater drain, and 110 power.
  • We have had an iSpring RCS5T tankless reverse osmosis water filtering system installed in our home in Park City, Utah for over two years. It has functioned perfectly and provides excellent water quality.

Cons

  • For efficient light commercial use, a tank needs to be added to provide sufficient water to maintain the high output.
  • The only negative I’ve noticed is that the pump can take a few seconds to kick on when the faucet valve is opened, creating a lag before the flow really starts. I would recommend this unit.

Conclusion iSpring RCS5T

Well, what can be said for the iSpring RCS5T 500GPD Commercial Tankless Reverse Osmosis RO Water Filter System but that it definitely ticks a lot of boxes in the right way for reliability and efficiency?

What I have failed to mention up to this point, is the wastewater ratio. With a lot of reverse osmosis systems, you can be looking at a ratio of up to 5:1 which equates to 5 gallons of wastewater to get one gallon of purified water.

The RCS5T has a waste ratio of 1:1 which is a good effort on their part to get it to that level of efficiency.

This is a system that sparks my interest because I like reliability and efficiency. I trust things that have been designed to work well and provide for more than is required.

I love the fact that even though it has a 5-stage filtration system, it’s fitted together well and looks neat even in an under-sink situation.

If you want purified water that you’ll be able to rely on for years to come, put the iSpring RCS5T at the top of your list for sure.
